Before you ride, know these helpful tips:
- Always wear a DOT approved helmet and other protective gear.ย
- Be aware of your surroundings and ride at a safe speed.ย
- Watch out for other riders, hikers, and wildlife.ย
- Stay on designated trails and avoid riding in sensitive areas. This helps protect the environment and other trail users.ย
- Let someone know where you’re going and when you expect to be back. This is especially important if you’re riding alone.ย
- Pack out all your trash. Leave no trace of your visit.ย
- And never use alcohol or drugs when riding.ย
It’s important to respect all trail users and the environment. Yield to other user groups. Be aware of your noise level. Off-road vehicles can be loud, so be mindful of trail users and nearby residents.ย
