March 16, 2017 – KVMR 89.5 FM Radio, Nevada City’s noncommercial community radio station, will broadcast Congressman Doug LaMalfa’s Town Hall Meeting live this Saturday at noon.

“This has become one of the most heavily anticipated political events of the year in LaMalfa’s district,” noted KVMR Program Director Steve Baker.  “We know there is strong interest from many different political groups in the Town Hall, and we know not everyone can be at it so it’s a perfect opportunity for us to air it live.”

LaMalfa will speak about Congress and the goals of the new administration — plus take questions and comments from constituents — at the meeting in the Main Street Center Building at the Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley. The meeting is expected to go for approximately 90 minutes.

KVMR Chief Engineer Dave Barnett has been working with Town Hall organizers to get the best sound possible for listeners, according to Baker.

The station will also offer a live stream of the Town Hall via its website at www.kvmr.org  and will archive the audio at archive.kvmr.org immediately afterwards in addition to posting a podcast of the meeting at the radio station website as well.
