GRASS VALLEY, Calif. March 10, 2017 – The League of Women Voters of Western Nevada County continues their issues presentations this Saturday, March 11, with a speaker panel discussion on Centennial Dam and Regional Water Resources.

The proposed Centennial Dam has become a flashpoint for heated controversy.  The League will present a panel discussion with Rem Scherzinger of the Nevada Irrigation District and Caleb Dardick of the South Yuba River Citizens League. They will give you the facts and their opinions about why this dam has been proposed, where it would fit into the needs of our region, and why many people are opposed to it.

The League panels are open to the public and you are invited to attend. The panel discussion starts at 10:00 am at the Peace Lutheran Church in Grass Valley. Please arrive early as this event is likely to generate a lot of interest.
