November 9, 2018 – Join League President, Janice, for an in depth look at the League of Women Voters of Western Nevada County, who we are, what we do, where we go from here.
Once the ballots are in, it will be time for the LWVWNC to reflect upon our work. How did we do this election cycle? Did we meet the needs of our community?
At the LWV we are volunteering our time to promote our responsibility to vote, to offer an environment for candidates to respectfully and civilly promote their ideas, to educate voters on issues through a non-partisan lens, to provide tools for voters, and to ensure that the right to vote is not withheld from any eligible person.
To that end, we are starting right in with preparing for the election of 2020, and our November 10th meeting is the kick-off of that effort. If you come to no other LWVWNC program throughout the year, please consider coming to this one. We will take stock of what we’ve accomplished, evaluate our effectiveness, identify our priorities and goals, and start working on what will be a demanding election year in 2020.
JOIN US on November 10, at 9:30 a.m. for coffee and brunch bites, then the program from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Peace Lutheran Church in Grass Valley. If you’d like more information, call Janice at 530-265-0596.
