On Tuesday, August 3, at 2 PM, the Nevada County Community Library will offer the fourth program in a five-part series on basic genealogy research techniques, “Genealogy Basics: Other Sources.” The focus of the program will be websites, videos, and other resources for genealogy researchers that can be accessed online.

The Genealogy Basics series, offered on Zoom and Facebook Live, is aimed at helping beginners learn how to research their family tree. Each program is independent of the others, so if a person missed the other programs in the series, they will still be able to follow this one. Recordings of past programs can be viewed on the Library’s YouTube channel. The final program of the series, to be offered at the end of August, will cover DNA and genealogy.
More information and a link to register for “Genealogy Basics: Other Sources” can be found on the Library Events Calendar at https://madelynhelling.evanced.info/signup/calendar.
