NEVADA CITY, Calif. — The Madelyn Helling Library is thrilled to present P.L.U.R. (Peace – Love – Unity – Respect), its first-ever Electronic Music Showcase and Dance Party, happening after hours on Friday, Feb. 28, 2025, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. This high-energy, all-ages event will feature live DJ performances, highlighting the creativity and talent of Nevada County’s electronic music scene. Attendees will experience dynamic sets from Tinfoil Trees and Irregular Fantasies, two emerging student DJs from Bear River High School. Closing out the night, Motive Within—a professional drum and bass DJ known for electrifying beats and immersive soundscapes—will take the stage for a high-energy headlining performance.

A Celebration of Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect Through Music

The P.L.U.R. philosophy—Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect—has long been a guiding principle in electronic dance music culture, emphasizing community, inclusivity, and positive vibes. This event embodies those values, offering a safe, welcoming, and substance-free space for music lovers of all ages to gather and celebrate the power of rhythm and movement.

“After the success of our punk shows, we’re excited to showcase other genres and bring even more music to the community,” said Molly Szpara, Adult Programming Technician. “We hope this is just the beginning of many more all-ages music nights. Come dance with us in the spirit of Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect!”
