March 5, 2026 – Indivisible Nevada County (INC) and Nevada County Democrats are organizing “March for Peace” to oppose U.S. military escalation in Iran. The Nevada County community is encouraged to join a peaceful three-mile march from the Rood Center in Nevada City to the Brunswick overpass in Grass Valley this Saturday, March 7th.
With tensions rising internationally, organizers say this weekend’s march is an opportunity for local residents to make their voices heard before further military escalation occurs.

Event Details:
- Assembly: 11:00 AM at the Rood Center
- Departure: 11:30 AM
- Route: Broad Street → Pine → Sacramento → Zion → Nevada City Highway → Brunswick overpass
- Expected arrival: 1:00 PM in Grass Valley
- Recommended: Wear comfortable shoes, bring water, signs, flags, and friends
Those unable to walk the full distance can meet march participants at the Brunswick overpass at approximately 1:00 p.m.
The march will highlight several urgent issues, including:
- Opposition to U.S. military escalation with Iran
- Calls for humane immigration policies and an end to harmful ICE enforcement actions
- Demand for the full release of the Epstein files and accountability for those involved
This march is part of nationwide protests scheduled for March 7. Across the country, organizers are calling for action to oppose recent U.S. military strikes, which they characterize as an illegal act of war, and to prevent further military escalation. War with Iran would have devastating humanitarian consequences, destabilize the Middle East, divert critical resources from urgent domestic needs, and risk American lives. Participants seek to demonstrate that there is strong community opposition to military action and demand that diplomatic solutions be pursued instead. This march also represents our continued commitment to resist the current administration’s policies that threaten peace, democracy, and the wellbeing of our communities.
