National Night Out is an annual community building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Local first responders and citizen groups have come together to host this event focused on creating bonds between law enforcement and community members so together we can make Nevada County a safer and a better place to live, work, and play.

The Grass Valley Police Department, Nevada City Police Department, Nevada County Sheriff’s Office, and Nevada County Probation Department believe that National Night Out enhances the relationship between local First Responders and our community serving to bring back a true sense of unity in our area.

Bring your friends and family to meet our local First Responders. Participate in the annual color run, eat some delicious food and drinks, listen to good music, and enjoy activities for the kids. First Responders will be available to meet you, answer questions, hear your concerns, listen to your ideas, and have fun “hanging out”.

National Night Out is celebrated on the first Tuesday in August. Details for this year’s event are:
Date: Tuesday, August 2nd
Time: 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM
Location: Pioneer Park in Nevada City
