August 21, 2019 – On August 20, 2019, the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with the Grass Valley Police Department and the California Highway Patrol, served a search warrant in the 17000 block of Crest Road in Grass Valley. The target of the warrant, and the person for whom the agencies were searching, was Wyatt Allen Yoder (32) from Grass Valley. Mr. Yoder was wanted for several felony arrest warrants and several counts of felony evasion.

In order to protect the public from any further vehicle pursuits, detectives made a plan to surveil Mr. Yoder and take him into custody in a controlled environment.

At around 7pm on Tuesday evening, the sheriff’s Special Enforcement Detail and detectives from this agency and Grass Valley Police department descended upon the residence on Crest Road and took Mr. Yoder into custody without incident – California Highway Patrol’s fixed-wing aircraft was overhead during this operation and helped coordinate efforts on the ground.

Mr. Yoder was arrested for his warrants and for a violation of his post-release community supervision terms. Mr. Yoder was booked into the Nevada County Jail where he remains on a no-bail hold.
