NEVADA CITY, Calif. January 24, 2020 – The Nevada and Placer Counties Resource Advisory Committee (RAC) meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 6, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. If a storm or other difficulty presents itself, a backup meeting is scheduled for Friday, February 7, 2020, at the same time and location.  The meeting is open to the public. 

At this meeting, project proposals will be reviewed and recommended by the Nevada and Placer Counties RAC to the Tahoe National Forest Supervisor, per the provisions of the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act of 2000.

The agenda will include time for public participants to make oral statements of three minutes or less.  Individuals wishing to make an oral statement should request in writing by January 31, 2020, to be scheduled on the agenda.

The RAC is a committee of volunteers that advises the Tahoe National Forest about the use of funds allocated through the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act Title II program. The committee encourages cooperation between the Forest Service and local communities on projects that provide mutual benefits to forest resources and communities. It consists of between 9 and 15 county residents who represent a broad cross-section of the community

Meeting Location:  The Nevada and Placer Counties RAC meeting will be held at the Tahoe National Forest Supervisors Office upstairs conference room, 631 Coyote Street, Nevada City, CA 95959.
