NEVADA CITY, California – The Nevada City Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to name Lynn Skrukrud as their new Executive Director. Skrukrud, a Nevada County native, brings a wealth of local knowledge and a strong network of community connections to her new role. She has served as the Events and Marketing Manager for the Chamber for the last four years. During that time she has been at the helm of the Chamber’s popular events including Hot Summer Nights and Victorian Christmas, and has built strong relationships with community members, partner organizations, vendors, and community leaders. Her experience at the Chamber will help to create a seamless transition and gives her a strong foundation to build upon.
Before joining the Chamber, Skrukrud served as the Co-Founder and Co-Director of NEO, a local nonprofit youth organization, for thirteen years. She holds a Business Degree with an emphasis in Small Business Entrepreneurship. “I’m excited to step into this new role and to serve the town I love,” shared Skrukrud, whose strategic plans involve enhancing and diversifying our local economy and building strong partnerships, while fostering more personal connections with the Chamber’s valued members. “We are standing at a unique moment in history. I look forward to strengthening our local business community by utilizing best-practices and new technology, while also preserving and enhancing the unique history and culture of Nevada City.”

We’re excited for all that’s ahead with Lynn shaping the Chamber’s future.”
Skrukrud succeeds outgoing Executive Director, Stuart Baker, who joined the Chamber in 2021. “It’s definitely bittersweet for me to leave the Chamber, as I loved the four years I spent there,” shared Baker, “Luckily, I am able to leave it in Lynn’s capable hands. She’s so committed to improving Nevada City and strengthening the organization. It’s an exciting transition.” The Chamber extends its sincere gratitude to Baker for his leadership and service over the last four years. The Chamber invites members, partners, and the community to join in welcoming Skrukrud and shaping a vibrant future for Nevada City together.
