NEVADA CITY, Calif. May 30, 2019 – Statement by Board President Sandy Hakala
With sincere appreciation and gratitude, we want to thank Superintendent Trisha Dellis for her many years of excellent service to the students and staff of the Nevada City School District. Trisha has been an outstanding administrator, educator, and mentor in our District, but has opted to pursue an opportunity that will allow her to be closer to her family on the coast. Accordingly, we also want to wish Trisha a fond farewell and great success in her new position as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources with the Carmel Unified School District which she will begin later this summer.
The District will hold a celebration for Trisha at our last Board meeting of the school year on June 25, 2019.
In the meantime, the Board of Trustees will immediately begin the process to appoint a qualified and experienced Interim Superintendent to lead the District during the 2019- 2020 school year. Related information will be provided to our stakeholders in the following weeks.
