NEVADA CITY, Calif. August 7, 2017 – NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on August 2, 2017, Board Member Kathryn Boswell filed with the Nevada County Superintendent of Schools her resignation from the Nevada City School District Governing Board effective August 2, 2017.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that no later than September 30, 2017, the Governing Board of the Nevada City School District Board will consider whether to make a provisional appointment to fill the vacancy created by the Ms. Boswell’s resignation.
Any person is eligible to be provisionally appointed to the Governing Board if he/she is: 18 years of age or older, a citizen of California, a resident of the school district, a registered voter, and not otherwise legally disqualified from holding civil office.
In order to be considered for provisional appointment, interested persons are instructed to submit a Board Candidate Information Form, no later than the close of business on Friday, August 25, 2017. If you are unable to complete the above form online, please fill out the Board Candidate Form below and return to the District Office, 800 Hoover, Nevada City, California. The vacancy term ends November 2018.
