Nevada City, CA – Nevada County Connects is offering free fares on all routes Thursday, July 2 and Saturday July 4, to help folks enjoy the High Sierra Music Festival at the Nevada County Fairgrounds as well as the Fourth of July holiday!

Nevada County Connects will operate its normal schedules and routes, and all passengers can ride free of charge on July 2 and July 4. Route 3 – Grass Valley loop offers direct service to Brighton Street at Gate 8 of the fairgrounds at :08 after every hour from 7:08 a.m. – 7:08 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and from 8:08 a.m. – 4:08 p.m. on Saturday.
Nevada County Connects transit will not be operating on July 3 due to County observance of the July 4 holiday.

Free fare days are funded by a Low Carbon Transit Operations Program (LCTOP) air quality grant that provides public transit funding assistance for projects that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve mobility.
