November 12, 2020 – The two-day report for confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nevada County adds another 47 cases, bringing the total of cases to 779.
128 of the cases are active, representing 16.31% of total cases.

The active case number does not include Nevada Union’s Junior Varsity football team. The 44 student athletes and 6 coaches (2 of them teachers) were told to self-isolate and are awaiting test results. According to the notification email “Those who are identified will be notified by telephone before the end of the day today and will be placed in isolation for 14 days, per protocol. Furthermore, areas on campus where this student had contact are being cleaned and sanitized.”
California has 991,609 confirmed cases to date, and 6,927 newly recorded confirmed cases Wednesday.
Nationally, case counts are increasing as well.
