NEVADA COUNTY, Calif. March 21, 2021 – Monday’s update of the county dashboard will show an increase in fatalities, bringing the death toll to 89, according to the state’s data set. This is due to a reallocation of fatalities that occurred over several months.
Deaths are reported to the county’s COVID dashboard once the death certificate is processed and finalized.
The majority of deaths that will be added to the dashboard on Monday were deaths of Nevada County residents that occurred in other counties, and processing those deaths and reallocating them to the county of residence takes even longer.
