October 9, 2025, Grass Valley, CA: The Nevada County Democrats (NCD) will celebrate their 45th annual Gala on Saturday, October 25th, at the Alta Sierra Country Club 11897 Tammy Way, Grass Valley, CA 95949.
The event’s theme, “Raising the Roof,” points to the growth the NCDs have experienced in the past several years. Proceeds from the Gala will go towards Nevada County Democratic campaigns and projects.
“The Gala we have planned for this year is unlike any other:” Caroline Wright, Treasurer of the NCD Executive Board. “Fantastic guest speakers, an amazing list of raffle and auction prizes, a delicious dinner, then a band to dance the night away.”
Guest speakers Heidi Hall and Tyler Vandenburg, the two Democratic candidates for the District 3 congressional seat, will take the stage to share their perspectives on current events in our local, state, and national governments. Heidi Hall, a Nevada County Board Supervisor for eight years, will talk about why voters should vote yes on California’s Proposition 50. Tyler Vandenburg, an officer in the Marine Corps and a holder of a master’s in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, will speak about increasing youth involvement in the Democratic Party.
Auction items range from private vacation home stays to a full-course dinner for eight. The evening’s menu has three choices, including a vegetarian option. After dinner, the band Bob Mora and the Third Degree will play their selection of blues, reggae, and New Orleans dance music.
Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and the event concludes at 9:00 p.m. Tickets are $75 per person, and the event is already halfway sold out. To learn more about the Gala or to buy tickets, visit this link:
