Nevada County, CA — The “Fire Safe Nevada County Coalition” is changing its name to Wildfire Ready Coalition of Nevada County. The new name reflects the group’s ongoing mission and commitment to helping residents, businesses, agencies, and Firewise Communities in Nevada County work together to prepare for wildfire.
“The term ‘Wildfire Ready’ better embodies the Coalition’s motto: ‘Resilient in the face of fire. Built to withstand the blaze.’ The change emphasizes the need for our community to take a proactive approach to living safely and sustainably in wildfire-prone landscapes,” said Board Executive Director Jo Ann Fites-Kaufman.
