NEVADA CITY, Calif. August 2, 2019 – Beginning on August 8th, 2019 at 5:00 p.m., the Madelyn Helling Library will be hosting a monthly LivingRoom Conversation in the Gene Albaugh Community Room.

LivingRoom Conversations are a conversational bridge across issues that divide and separate communities. These programs provide an easy structure for community members engaging in friendly yet meaningful conversation with those with whom they may not agree. These conversations increase understanding, reveal common ground, and sometimes even allow participants to discuss possible solutions.

The first facilitated conversation topic will be The America We Want to Be and future conversations will focus on such topics as Nevada County on September 12th, Homelessness on October 10th, To Vote or Not To Vote on November 14th, and Relationships Over Politics on December 12th.

All viewpoints and opinions are welcome! Community members are invited to come share their thoughts in this safe space.
