April 12, 2019 – The County of Nevada will host a public meeting on Thursday, April 25, 2019, from 5:00pm to 6:30pm in the Board of Supervisors Chambers located at 950 Maidu Avenue, Nevada City, to present conceptual architectural drawings, provide an overview of envisioned program activities, and gather public feedback and suggestions as part of the planning and approval process for the Brunswick Commons Affordable Housing Project and Homeless Resource Center.
The proposed Brunswick Commons project is a mixture of affordable housing and homeless resource center which includes transitional housing units. This is a County-sponsored project located within the City of Grass Valley. While extensive collaboration between both entities has occurred during the initial planning phase, the County is taking the lead on the planning, permitting, environmental and ultimate entitlement approval process of the project. Following a brief presentation of the proposed buildings and program/operations overview, the public will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the project and make suggestions to the project scope.
