What is FFA? Also known as Future Farmers of America, FFA is a national organization that reaches from the state of Alaska to the Virgin Islands and from the state of Maine to Hawaii. FFA is a youth organization that teaches students skills they need for the workforce through hands-on experiences. Students can develop many skills through this program such as communication, mechanical, and career based skills. FFA welcomes any and all students into our organization. There is no limit on where FFA can take someone.
The FFA Creed Speaking Competition is designed for 9th grade FFA members to develop their leadership, communication, and Agriculture literacy skills. This contest has many components, contestants must recite the FFA Creed. The Creed is five paragraphs that aims to guide the actions and beliefs of the young FFA members. After the recitation contestants must then answer a series of questions based on the creeds content and meaning. The contestant has five minutes to answer the questions provided by the judges. The FFA Creed helps students learn what it means to be a successful student and future agriculturist.
