Grass Valley, CA — The Nevada Union High School Band Program proudly invites the community to its annual Winter Concert on Thursday, December 4, at 7:00 p.m. in the Don Baggett Theater at Nevada Union High School. This festive evening promises a celebration of seasonal music and outstanding student musicianship.
The concert will feature performances by the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Jazz Band, offering audiences a rich and varied program. Selections will span multiple musical styles, with a special emphasis on holiday favorites that capture the spirit of the season.
“This concert is a wonderful opportunity for our students to share their hard work and musical growth with the community,” said band director David Fowler. “We are looking forward to celebrating the season with everyone.”

About the Nevada Union Band Program
The Nevada Union High School Band Program, under the direction of David Fowler, provides an enriching musical education that supports students’ artistic growth and teamwork. Through instruction in Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, and Percussion students develop strong musicianship while gaining the discipline, creativity, and collaborative skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
In turn, these talented young musicians give back to the community through numerous live performances throughout the year. Nevada Union band students proudly represent the school at events including the Nevada County Fair’s Opening Day Ceremony, the Constitution Day Parade, Veterans Day Ceremony, the Colfax Light Parade, the Nevada City Mardi Gras Parade and performances at Nevada Union Football games. Their participation in these events demonstrates the program’s commitment to both musical excellence and community engagement.
Together, the ensembles of the Nevada Union Band Program enrich students’ lives while strengthening and celebrating the community they serve.
