For the June 7th election, April 28 was the first pre-election filing deadline with all candidates listed on the ballot required to file either a Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) Form 460 or 470. In Nevada County, District 3 candidate Valentina Masterz, District 4 candidate Calvin Clark, Assessor candidate Gerald Bushore, Auditor-Controller candidate Rob Tribble and Clerk-Recorder candidate Paul Gilbert show no filings on the Public Portal for Campaign Finance Disclosure. Nevada City Council candidate Ken Merdinger also has no forms listed on the website. All other candidates’ form 460 are available on the portal website.

FPPC filing calendar for local candidates

The FPPC calendar of filings for local candidates explains which forms the candidates should file. “Candidates who have raised/spent $2,000 or more file the Form 460. Candidates who do not raise or spend $2,000 or more (or anticipate raising or spending $2,000 or more) in 2022 and do not have an open committee may file Form 470 on or before April 28, 2022.”

Supervisor District 3
