From Peardale Chicago Park Fire Captain Josh Ramey: For the past two weeks, Brush-57 and four crew members had been assigned to the #LineFire and the #BridgeFire in Southern California. This crew was a part of the Nevada County 4108C Strike Team. Crew members were involved with various assignments throughout the fires. We would like to extend our gratitude to the leadership and all the agencies on the Strike Team for coming together and supporting each other during challenges they faced throughout the incidents. Agencies assigned to the Strike Team consisted of; Peardale Chicago Park Fire, Higgins Fire, Grass Valley Fire, Penn Valley Fire, North San Juan Fire and Mi Wuk Sugar Pine Fire.

At 8:48 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the Park Burn Scar with rain rates over a half inch(0.50)in 30 min possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Excessive rainfall over the warning area will cause mud slides near steep terrain. The mud slide can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.
Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding in and around the Park Burn Scar.
This is a life threatening situation. Heavy rainfall will cause extensive and severe flash flooding of creeks, streams and ditches in the Park Burn Scar. Severe debris flows can also be anticipated across roads. Roads and driveways may be washed away in places. If you encounter flood waters, climb to safety.

September 6, 2024 at 10:58 AM Per PG&E: PG&E has completed welding and installing collars on the South Yuba Pipe on 9/5 ahead of schedule and is testing it with flows of about 5 cubic feet per second of water. Meanwhile, PG&E works diligently to make repairs at Spaulding 2 powerhouse. Since early July, the Spaulding 1 powerhouse has been delivering about 450 cfs into the Drum Canal, which flows into Rollins Reservoir, with a small portion of that water diverted to the South Yuba Canal which feeds Scotts Flat Reservoir. Water agencies continue to urge conservation.
Editor’s note: Spaulding powerhouse #1 has one of two discharge horns working and Spaulding powerhouse #2 is offline. Full capacity restoration, in the best case scenario, is end of July 2025.

She is described as a 63-year-old Caucasian adult female, approximately 5โ 6โ, 135 lbs. with long grey hair and blue eyes. She reportedly has dementia.
McRoberts was last seen wearing a red, long-sleeve turtleneck, blue jeans, and brown tennis shoes. She is believed to be on foot and possible destinations include downtown Grass Valley and downtown Nevada City.
