August 2, 2017 – Yuba County Sheriff Investigators have identified the suspect in the shooting incident that occurred in Oregon House yesterday in which two Yuba County Deputies were shot and seriously injured. The suspect that was found deceased by SWAT personnel at approximately 2pm inside a residence where the shooting occurred in the 9000 block of Marysville Road has been identified as Mark Anthony Sanchez, born 8/6/1983, originally of Gilroy, Ca. It is believed that Sanchez was living and working as a caretaker at a marijuana garden located next to the residence where the shooting occurred after Sanchez fled from deputies into the neighboring residence.
