September 29, 2018 – Please come get your car washed to support the Forest Charter School’s PACE Co-op Grade 3-5 class. The PACE Car Wash Fundraiser is on Saturday morning, September 29th, from 9:00-1:00 in the Jamba Juice parking lot by the Raley’s in Grass Valley.

All funds will go towards the children’s attendance to a day of challenges and team building at Camp Augusta. Also, purchase a drink at Jamba Juice on the day of the event, and 15% of your purchase will go toward our class field trip fund.  You can either bring in a flyer, or show the flyer on your phone.

PACE stands for Peace Art Creativity Environment. The multi-grade co-op classes provide unique and personalized learning experiences for the children in blended classroom and non-classroom environments. The class program is an effective balance of homeschool and classroom settings where one-on-one personalized instruction occurs at home and children collaborate, cooperate, teach, and inquire in the classroom.

PACE is a program designed with the idea in mind that curiosity, the impulse to inquire, should be the driving force of education. That seeking ideas, imagining things, exploration, and interaction with a community of learners are the cornerstones of a solid educational foundation. This program believes learning can take place within a non-competitive, peaceful environment where each child is honored for his/her individual gifts and strengths while providing support for the child and his/her family in their educational goals. Life is your classroom. Pace yourself.

Camp Augusta covers 80 acres in the Sierra Nevada foothills, just outside the town of Nevada City. Each year, thousands of children, youth and family members enjoy Camp Augusta’s rustic setting in the wooded lands of Lake Vera’s western shores. Camp Augusta’s four core programs are uniquely designed for summer youth campers, wilderness trips, elementary school children and family groups.

Thank you for supporting local schools!
