PLACER COUNTY – Caltrans is alerting Interstate 80 (I-80) and State Route 174 (SR-174) motorists in Placer County of scheduled paving work that will cause travel delays this week.
Beginning Wednesday, August 10, maintenance crews will begin paving work on I-80 eastbound just west of Gold Run and will close the #2 (right) lane from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Thursday, August 11, crews will perform paving work on I-80 westbound in the same vicinity, with a #2 (right) lane closure established from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
On SR-174, paving work is scheduled Friday, August 12 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. between Rollins Lake Road and Orchard Springs Road. One-way traffic control will be in effect during paving work with 20-minute delays expected.
The construction schedule is subject to change due to weather, equipment or material availability or other unexpected events.
