Get ready for an afternoon of four-legged fun! The Nevada City Rotary Club is thrilled to announce the 2nd Annual “Paws and A Cause” Community Event is taking place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Pioneer Park in Nevada City.
Following the enthusiastic turnout at last year’s inaugural event, “Paws and A Cause” is back—bigger and better. This family-friendly celebration brings together animal lovers, local businesses, pet services, and rescue organizations for an unforgettable afternoon of community spirit and furry festivities.
Call for Booth Participants and Sponsors
Animal-related businesses, pet service providers, veterinary clinics, and rescue organizations are invited to sign up now to host a booth and connect with the animal-loving community. Showcase your services, products, and resources to hundreds of attendees looking for ways to support and care for their pets.
“The broad outpouring of support for the first year of Paws and A Cause reflected our community’s love of dogs and animals,” said Pearce Boyer, President of Nevada City Rotary. “We had 14 businesses and animal rescue organizations participate and hope for an even bigger event this year!”
Special Guest Appearance
Animal lovers, get ready for a dose of nostalgia! We’re thrilled to welcome Jon Provost, the original Timmy from the beloved TV series Lassie, as a special guest. Don’t miss your chance to meet a television legend and lifelong advocate for animals.
New This Year – “Paws Out and About” Photo Contest
In the lead-up to the event, we’re launching the “Paws Out and About” Photo Contest, a fun way to showcase a pet’s personality and community pride. Participants will photograph their pets at selected locations (yours if you choose!) and submit them through social media. Winners will be announced at the event.
