Nevada City, CA – Sierra Stages is thrilled to offer a Pay What You Can performance of their upcoming production of Sense & Sensibility on Thursday March 6 at the Nevada Theatre in historic downtown Nevada City.
This playful new adaptation of the beloved Austen classic follows the fortunes (and misfortunes) of the Dashwood sisters. There is scheming, heartbreak, and betrayal along the way, along with contemporary concerns about class, gender expectations, and the eternal question of following one’s head or heart.
“We want everyone to see this production,” says Executive Director Peter Mason. “Thursday, March 6 is a Pay What You Can performance. On Friday, March 7 we have a $20 preview night. And we’re also offering $15 student tickets for the entire run. There’s no excuse not to come out and catch the show!”
This one-night-only event is a great way for anyone to see the play and helps to fulfill Sierra Stages mission to bring high-quality theatre to all Nevada County residents. There are no advance tickets for Pay What You Can night—just show up to the Nevada Theatre from 7 – 7:30 and buy your ticket for whatever price you can afford. Cash or check only!
