PLACER COUNTY – Caltrans is alerting Interstate 80 (I-80) westbound motorists of upcoming lane restrictions near Secret Town for emergency guardrail repair.
This Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. maintenance crews will be closing the #2 (right) lane of I-80 westbound between Secret Town and Colfax to repair guardrail that was damaged in a collision earlier this week. Motorists are advised to expect additional travel time and delays during guardrail work.
During repairs, commercial vehicle permit loads will be restricted on I-80 westbound. The scheduled work is subject to change due to weather, equipment or material availability or other unexpected events.
