GRASS VALLEY, Calif. July 17, 2019 – As part of their Community Wildfire Safety Program, PG&E is implementing additional precautionary measures to help reduce the risk of wildfires. If extreme fire danger conditions threaten a portion of the electric system serving your community, it may be necessary to turn off electricity in the interest of public safety. This is called a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS.)

PG&E is hosting a series of regional open houses throughout their service area for anyone who is interested in learning more about our Community Wildfire Safety Program. These drop-in gatherings will allow community members to learn more about wildfire safety and emergency preparedness, meet with PG&E representatives, ask questions and share feedback. Webinars will be available for those who are unable to attend an event in person.

The July 23, 2019 meeting will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. at:

Foothills Event Center
400 Idaho Maryland Road
Grass Valley, CA

A webinar will be held on July 22nd, you can register here to attend the online event.
