GRASS VALLEY, Calif. April 27, 2026 – The Pine Tree Quilt Guild took over the Ponderosa and the Main Hall at the Fairgrounds this weekend for their annual show.

Highlights of the 40-year history of the Guild were on display among the 340 quilts in the hall.

PTQG was among one of the earliest American guilds to form and hold a quilt show. Prior to the late 1970s quilters entered their quilts at state and county fairs, often competing for cash prizes sponsored by companies like Sears & Roebuck and the Singer Manufacturing Company.
