NEVADA CITY, Calif. September 7, 2016 – The performance of the Nevada County Concert Band on Saturday (Sept. 10) in downtown Nevada City begins at 4:30pm.   The free outdoor concert takes place on North Pine Street in front of Friar Tuck’s Restaurant and Wine Bar.

The Constitution Day Pops Concert is presented in partnership with the Famous Marching Presidents of Nevada City who will present “Presidential Fashion Through the Years,” with attire modeled by Marching Presidents and First Ladies.

The concert and fashion show are part of Nevada City’s weekend 50th Annual Constitution Day Parade and Celebration on Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 10-11). Other activities include Revolutionary War reenactments in Pioneer Park and the 49er Rotary Gold Country Duck Race in Deer Creek.  The 2pm Sunday parade features special guest Nevada City’s own Alexander Rossi, winner of the 2016 Indianapolis 500.  More than 80 parade entries are expected.
