March 27, 2018 – Tina M. Vernon, Nevada County Treasurer and Tax Collector, would like to remind property owners that the delinquent date for the 2nd installment of the 2017-2018 secured tax bill is April 10, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. Payments must be received in this office or show a postmark of April 10, 2018. If mailing close to this date, please get a hand stamped postmark to ensure timely payment. If received after the April 10th date without a timely postmark, a 10% penalty plus a $10 cost will be added for late payment.

If you own property in Nevada County and have not received a tax bill, a copy may be printed from the tax collector’s website at https://www.mynevadacounty.com/365/My-Tax-Bill

Payment transactions may also be made online https://www.mynevadacounty.com/372/Pay-Your-Tax-Bill or by phone at (888)243-1366 up until 11:59 PM on April 10th. You must have your bill number and parcel number and amount due. Please note there is a 2.4% fee associated with credit card transactions and a $0.50 charge for electronic check.

An outside drive-up Drop Box is available in the parking lot of the Rood Government Center until 5pm on April 10th. Follow the signs for location.

Payments may be made in person April 2-4, 2018 at the Truckee Sheriff Substation, Supervisor Richard Anderson’s office located at 10879 Donner Pass Road, Suite A between the hours of 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
