March 26, 2018 – Dry and warm this week with breezy north winds at times Today and Tuesday.

Discussion

Upper level high pressure will continue building over NorCal Today and remain in place all week. Breezy north winds with a few gusts to 25 mph possible today in the Valley Redding-Sacramento- Stockton, as gradient tightens between building high and exiting trough over the Great Basin. Lighter North winds on Tuesday, but still a few gusts to 15 mph. High temperatures will warm to near normal levels in the mid-60’s today. Even warmer Tuesday and through the rest of the week with readings about 10 degrees above normal in the mid/upper 70’s.

Extended discussion (Friday through Monday)

Dry and mild weather is expected for the extended period as a ridge of high pressure will be set up over NorCal. A short wave trough will start to bring in cooler air for the weekend but highs will still remain mild for this time of year. No precipitation is expected with this feature.
