August 2, 2018 – The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 11 AM Friday to 11 PM PDT Saturday.

* WIND: Local west to southwest ridgetop wind gusts 25 to 35 mph Friday afternoon into Saturday.

* HUMIDITY: Afternoon minimum humidities of 10 to 20 percent are expected with overnight humidity recoveries as low as 30 to 40 percent.

* HIGHEST THREAT: Through canyons and exposed ridges.

* IMPACTS: Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
