NEVADA CITY, Calif. September 6, 2016 – Beginning on September 6, 2016, the Bureau of Reclamation will begin chip sealing on the Dog Valley Road between Russel Valley and Stampede Reservoir.
Forest visitors headed to the Logger Campground and the Captain Roberts Boat Ramp on the Truckee Ranger District can expect delays Mondays through Thursdays during work hours. Motorists are encouraged to reduce their speed through the area to ensure public and employee safety.
Dog Valley Road will serve as a detour route while the road segment over Stampede Dam is closed during construction.
No weekend operations are planned at this time. Chip sealing operations are expected to take approximately four weeks to complete.
