Nevada County, CA: As spring blooms and the farming season kicks into gear, Sierra Harvest’s Farm Institute proudly announces the return of its annual Ag Skills Class Series. Designed to empower budding farmers and enthusiasts alike, this 15-class journey delves deep into the heart of agricultural best practices, drawing wisdom directly from the fields and minds of local experts.

What to Expect: Guided by seasoned farmers and industry specialists, participants will embark on a hands-on exploration of commercial farming and ranching practices unique to the Nevada County region. Each class offers a rare opportunity to learn directly from the land and those who tend it, fostering invaluable connections and peer networks along the way.

When: The series unfolds every Tuesday evening from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm from May 14 through August 27. There is no class the week of July 4. Locations vary, as classes take place on farms across the region, bringing participants closer to the heart of agricultural practice.

Cost: $22 per class, $270 for whole class package – scholarships available!
