September 20, 2017 – Join the Dinner Bell Farm team on their little slice of heaven in Chicago Park on Thursday, September 21st for yet another family-friendly Sierra Harvest Farm Potluck.  Now in their 8th year of production at Dinner Bell Farm, they specialize in pasture-raised, heritage breed pigs, and beautiful fresh flowers.   Molly Nakahara and Paul Glowaski, will have flowers and pork for sale during the potluck.  Kid friendly event! Fill a cooler bag while you’re out at the farm!  They will have pork (roasts, chops, bacon, sausage & lard) available.  Also available will be a handful of their signature, pre-made, gorgeous bouquets available and a Build-Your-Own bouquet option (pay by the stem.)  Cash is best but local checks and credit cards also accepted.  Did you know that they teach flower arranging workshop on our farm?  Check out their website for more information and sign up today!

5:30 pm – Meet at 17100 Lower Colfax Road to meet our pasture-raise PIGS with Farmer Paul
6:00 pm – Circle up for DINNER at 14119 Judy Lane

What to bring:
Utensils, a plate and cup for yourself/selves.
A bountiful dish to share (with serving utensil and label of key ingredients and allergens.)
A blanket or chair to sit on.
A healthy appetite.
A cooler/cooler bag to bring home your Dinner Bell Farm pork.
Cash/checkbook/CC for farm direct purchases.

From Nevada City / Grass Valley:

Take HWY 174 towards Colfax
Turn right on Powerline Road
Stay straight onto Judy Lane
After 100 yards veer left through Backbraken Acres
Stay right on the driveway and head down the hill. Please follow signs and park at 18545 Cactus Lane.  This is the “back” entrance to Dinner Bell Farm.  Once you park, follow the white, Dinner Bell Farm signs to the potluck.  You’ll walk a short, creekside trail so wear your walking shoes.
Follow signs for parking.
Potluck will be next to the main house and barn.

Directions to “The Hill” for tour of the Pig pastures (meet at 5:30pm):

Take HWY 174 towards Colfax
Turn right on Powerline Road
Turn left onto Lower Colfax Road
Drive 1/4 mile to 17100 Lower Colfax Road.
Look for metal gate with an Animal Welfare Approved sign on the uphill side of the road.
Pull in and park in designated area.
