GRASS VALLEY, Calif. March 23, 2020 – The safety of our patients, employees and physicians is our highest priority. We want to assure the community that Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital is continuing to closely monitor all developments with the coronavirus. We are in contact with local and state authorities as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and our staff is following the latest guidance from these public health agencies. To continue to ensure everyone’s safety we have made the following changes to our visitor guidelines:

Comfort Care, Dementia, and ICU Patients:

  • 1 visitor per day
  • No symptoms
  • Case-by-case basis

Non-Isolation Emergency Room Patients:

  • 1 visitor per day
  • No symptoms

Family Birthing Center Patients:

  • 1 Birth Partner/Coach per day
  • No symptoms

Visiting hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. except for comfort care patients.

You must be 14 or older to visit

We are also continuing to screen those visiting our facilities at our entrances by asking if they are experiencing any symptoms consistent with infectious diseases, including COVID-19.
