The National Weather Service in Sacramento has released the smoke forecast for tonight and Friday. This is an experimental smoke forecast model. North winds aloft will push smoke from the 361,812-acre Dixie Fire towards the east side, the Sacramento Valley and Foothills.

Adding to the mix will be the 24,719-acre Monument Fire, 24.247-acre McFarland Fire, the 22,605-acre Antelope Fire, the 16,799-acre Klamath River Complex and several other, smaller fires to the north.

Health advisories for smoke have been issued by Northern Sierra Air Quality Management District and Placer County Air Pollution Control District.
