GRASS VALLEY, Calif. September 30, 2016 – Beginning Monday, Oct. 10, patients receiving Outpatient Neuro Rehabilitation and Hand Therapy services at Dignity Healthy Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital will visit a new site to receive their care.

Outpatient rehabilitation services are moving from the hospital to the newly renovated medical office building, owned by the hospital, at 1345 Whispering Pines Lane in Grass Valley.

According to Kathy Kinney, Supervisor of Rehabilitation Services, the new space offers great benefits to patients. It provides easier access via a single-floor structure, ample and convenient parking, new interior décor, and expanded treatment space for both departments.

Neuro Rehabilitation patients will notice a spacious new gym area and a specially designed kitchen for improving daily living skills such as preparing a meal after a stroke or traumatic brain injury. Speech therapy and hand therapy patients will also enjoy freshly painted and sunlit treatment areas.

“The environment is designed with our patients in mind, and every service we provide is intended to support patients in living as independently as possible,” states Kinney.

In addition to therapy appointments, the new space will also host ongoing Neuro Rehabilitation classes. A new schedule of classes for “Balance,” “Big and Loud,” and “Traumatic Brain Injury Support Groups” begin Oct. 10 at the new facility.

“We’re extremely excited to welcome our patients to the new facility,” shared Kinney.
