May 17, 2017 – Today at 11:02 am, units responded to a reported residential structure fire on the 15200 block of You Bet Road.
When the first units arrived on scene, it was an active structure fire with flames showing.
One firefighter was injured, suffering moderate injuries. He was sent to Sierra Nevada Hospital in Grass Valley.
Fire personnel from Peardale-Chicago Park Fire, Ophir Hill Fire, Grass Valley Fire, Nevada City Fire, Cal Fire and Nevada County Consolidated Fire responded to the incident.
Fire personnel and emergency units are on scene and will remain throughout the day.
The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.
