Nevada City, CA March 26, 2020 – Last Friday, over seventy-five business and nonprofit leaders participated in a kick-off video call to launch the “Nevada County COVID-19 Business Task Force,” co-chaired by Board Chair Heidi Hall and Vice Chair Dan Miller.

“I see the Task Force serving as a fast-moving information hub to support our local economy,” said Chair Hall. “We will move expeditiously to link our business people to available resources.”

“With so many restaurants, bars, theaters, retailers and other businesses forced to close, I want people to know we are doing everything we can to deploy local, state, and federal resources to our small businesses to help them weather this crisis,” said Vice Chair Miller.

Task Force members include leaders of countywide business organizations, nonprofits, and elected officials with an extensive reach to all sectors of the economy. To date, over 65 organizations such as the Chambers of Commerce, merchant associations, nonprofits, and others active in the economic health as well as the elected leadership of Grass Valley, Nevada City, and Truckee have joined the effort.

“We appreciate how the Task Force is streamlining the most relevant information to us, and linking the construction industry across the county,” said Kellie Cutler, Executive Director of the Contractors Association of Truckee Tahoe.
