Nevada City – The South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL) invites the community to Wild for the Yuba – a special Dinner & Auction Fundraiser – on Friday July 11, 2025, from 6:00-9:30 pm at the beautiful grounds of the Schrammsberg Estate in Nevada City.
Wild for the Yuba is SYRCL’s party for the river, featuring a stunning array of silent and live auction items and experiences. This year’s prizes include rafting trips, music festival passes, and adventures to San Francisco, Tahoe, and the Central Coast. Many local businesses have shown their love for the Yuba by contributing merchandise and gift certificates to tours, shops, services, and restaurants.
This year’s event is shaping up to be an evening you won’t want to miss, with delicious dinner and appetizers by Antonio Ayestarán Custom Catering, exciting live and silent auctions emceed by professional auctioneer Freddie Silveria, and the opportunity to gather with others who care about this special place and support SYRCL’s vital work for the Yuba.
This annual event is a fundraiser for SYRCL’s Environmentalist of the Year Scholarship, SYRCL’s Education Programs, and our summer programs striving to keep the river healthy and safe, such as River Ambassadors and the Yuba River Cleanup.
“We invite our members, volunteers, and the public to join us at Wild for the Yuba as we celebrate the summer river season,” says Aaron Zettler-Mann, SYRCL’s Executive Director. “So many people are exploring this beautiful watershed, we must ensure our education and outreach programs can meet the public’s need for information on how to enjoy the Yuba safely. Every ticket and auction purchase supports SYRCL’s efforts to cultivate a new generation of Yuba Champions.”
Wild for the Yuba tickets are available at the SYRCL office or online at www.yubariver.org. Seating is limited and the event is expected to sell out. Advance tickets are $120 per person for current SYRCL members and $125 for the general public. On May 26, ticket prices increase to $125 per person for SYRCL members and $130 for the general public. Reserved tables for groups 8 are available, with discounts for current SYRCL members.
Admission includes appetizers, dinner, dessert, table wine, access to silent & live auctions, and outdoor seating. SYRCL will offer a no-host bar where it will sell beer and wine.
