Stateline, NV — The Tahoe Rim Trail Association (TRTA) will host two Wilderness First Aid (WFA) courses with NOLS Wilderness Medicine this spring, offering outdoor enthusiasts the opportunity to build essential skills for responding to medical emergencies in remote environments.

The courses will take place April 4–5, 2026 and May 9–10, 2026 in Stateline, Nevada.

Wilderness First Aid is a two-day training designed for hikers, backpackers, volunteers, outdoor educators, and anyone who spends time recreating in the backcountry. The course covers patient assessment, injury and illness management, and decision-making when professional medical care may be hours away.
