GRASS VALLEY, Calif. February 20, 2026 – The Center for the Arts announced the launch of its search for its next Executive Director, marking an exciting new chapter for the leading performing arts and cultural organization serving Grass Valley and the greater Nevada County region.

The Center for the Arts Board of Directors has initiated a comprehensive recruitment process to identify a visionary dynamic leader who will guide the organization into its next phase of artistic excellence, community engagement and sustainable growth.

“The Center plays a vital role in the cultural and economic life of the community” said Jon Blinder, Board Chair of the Center for the Arts.  “We are seeking an Executive Director who brings strong strategic leadership, a passion for the arts and the experience to manage a vibrant and growing organization.”

The Executive Director in collaboration with an incredible staff, will oversee all aspects of the organization’s operations, including programming, marketing, fund development, financial management and supervision of up to 30 staff members.  Working closely with the Board of Directors, the new leader will advance the Center’s mission to enrich the lives through the arts by presenting diverse performances, supporting local artists and fostering arts education and community partners.

The Board is seeking candidates with demonstrated nonprofit leadership, strong financial and operational acumen, a successful track record in fund development and a deep commitment to community-centered arts programming.
