GRASS VALLEY, Calif. September 16, 2016 – The Center for the Arts kicks off their Fall Membership Drive with three major show announcements and special incentives to join during September and October. Because ticket sales cover only 60% of their annual expenses, The Center relies on tax-deductible donations from individuals and businesses. Income from membership allows The Center to provide a wide variety of programming including free community events that benefit local youth and underserved populations of Nevada County.
Singer Graham Nash fresh off the release of his new CD, “This Path Tonight” returns with his band to Grass Valley for a March 26th concert at The Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium.
The Center is also pleased to present a show for fans of the Broadway Musical, The Jersey Boys, the Rat Pack and songs from the Sixties with Midtown Men on February 3rd featuring the original cast members of Broadway’s Jersey Boys, doing what they do best: “Sixties Hits With A Modern Twist.”
Also announced for the Fall Drive is The Center’s popular New Year’s Eve dinner and show featuring Roy Rogers and the Delta Rhythm Kings. These shows are on sale to Center members: September 16 at 10am, on sale to General Public: September 30 at 10am. One of the ongoing benefits for Center members is early access to tickets. These concerts and more to be announced will be on sale exclusively to members only during the September/October membership drive.
Julie Baker Executive Director says, “We’ve seen high demand some shows in the past year come close to selling out before they even reach the general public. To get the best seats, we recommend you join the Center and reap all the benefits while benefitting your community! If you’ve been on the fence, now is the time to join and help us reach our goal of raising $30,000 in membership during our Fall Drive. Plus if you join during the drive you could win Premium tickets to sold out shows like Jackson Browne on October 2nd, I know lots of people who hope to win those!”
As an added bonus to join, renewing or upgrading membership through October, will get members entered to win a weekly drawing for two tickets to the following shows: Mick Fleetwood Blues Band featuring Rick Vito and Achilles Wheel Duo opening, Jackson Browne (2 premium tickets), Dancing With Our Stars: Premium Table Seating, Neko Case, California WorldFest “Best of the Fest”, and Premium tickets to Graham Nash.
Memberships start at $75 annually for a household and are good for one year at the time of purchase. Members can save up to $10 per ticket on Center events.
Another special offering from The Center this Fall is their VEEP raffle to meet the star of the hit HBO series, Julia Louis Dreyfus. The winner will receive a Back Stage pass for 2 to the set of VEEP during filming of Season 6, a Hello and Photo with Julia Louis Dreyfus, 2 round trip tickets to Los Angeles via Southwest Airlines from Sacramento, Limousine service to and from Sacramento Airport to your home, LAX luxury car service to and from Loews Hollywood Hotel and the VEEP set studio, One night’s stay at the Loews Hollywood Hotel; an urban oasis at the corner of Hollywood and Highland and a perfect base for moving and shaking Hollywood-style.
