Grass Valley, CA—The Rotary Club of Grass Valley announces The Great Gold Country Community Auction starting May 5th. This online auction will feature over 50 items to bid on and will be live online for one week closing May 12th. The auction is now available for a sneak peek of a few of the items that are available with more being added daily at www.32auctions.com/rotarycommunityauction

“Traditionally we host our annual Casino Night in February which is a fun night with a silent auction that raises around $20,000 which we directly put right back into the community. Due to the winter storm that devastated our area, we chose to not host the Casino Night so our community could recover,” said club President Elect Sandra Barrington. “We have some great auction items such as a BBQ party for 25, a five-night stay in Cabo, a get-a-way to Savannah, a culinary tour of New Orleans, jewelry, artwork, gift baskets, wine packages, and other home and garden items.”

The Rotary Club of Grass Valley supports many local nonprofits and youth programs. This auction will help raise funds to support youth programs, leadership programs, scholarships, local nonprofits, and international service projects. The Club recently spent time at the Nevada County Fairgrounds cleaning up storm debris, worked with The Food Bank of Nevada County to put together the 10,000 meals project, participated in the Lithium Battery and Electronic Waste recycling program, worked on the school garden at Lyman Gilmore Middle School, supported the Salvation Army during the holidays, and much more. In the next Rotary year the club will focus on funds for continued support of the garden at Lyman Gilmore, the California Care Force Health Clinic, scholarships for local youth, supporting the needs of Bright Futures for Youth, supporting the Gold Country Senior Center, The Alzheimer’s Outreach Program memorial garden, and youth leadership programs.
