April 20, 2018 – Nevada County Transit Services will provide system wide “Free Fare Days” on all routes Friday, April 20th from 5:50 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, April 21st from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with free fares for all.
“Free Fare Days” on April 20th and 21st celebrates Earth Day Weekend. Gold Country Stage “Free Fare Days” encourages public transit so riders can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and support clean air, a clean Nevada County, and a clean earth!
Funding for this service is through a Low Carbon Transit Operations Program (LCTOP) air quality grant that provides public transit funding assistance for projects that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve mobility.
